Cocoa-Almond Smoothie

1 scoop of protein (For this smoothie,  I use either Chocolate Vega, Chocolate Dreams Protein, or you can try the Pure Paleo Protein which is sourced from Beef)


Yes…I said Beef. At first it sound like a very odd choice, but it is equivalent to whey in terms of being able to build lean muscle tissue, tastes creamy like whey but is non allergenic and safe for the dairy intolerant person. It is also a nice protein to try for those that can’t tolerate vegan protein, or for those with autoimmune conditions as they should be limiting their sources of pea and legumes.

Combine the Protein with


  • 2-3 Large Ice Cubes
  • 1 ¼ cups of unsweetened almond milk
  • 2Tbsp of almond butter
  • 1 Tbsp of chia or flax seeds
  • 1 Tbsp of coconut oil
  • Can add almond or mint extract for extra flavour


Blend and consume cold!
