
Cristina has been working as Nurse Practitioner in Diabetes and Metabolism for over 12 years. She enjoys sharing her expertise and passion through teaching and mentoring NP students and Endocrinology Fellows as Assistant Clinical Professor [adjunct] with McMaster University, Hamilton, Department of Medicine, Endocrinology and Metabolism Division. Cristina’s passion for diabetes and metabolism started as a diabetes educator in 2010.
Nominated for Nightingale Nursing Award, Cristina started her journey as an NP in Primary Care, enjoyed providing care to patients of all ages.
She holds a diploma in software sciences and is a strong advocate for use of technologies to help people living with chronic diseases and diabetes decrease the burden of this complex chronic condition.
Cristina believes in holistic approach to care, seeing clients as unique beings and active participants in their care, where prevention and early intervention are keys in leading a healthy and fulfilling life.
Outside the clinical practice, Cristina enjoys reading thriller novels, hiking and exercising ,travelling and spending time with her family”
