De-Stress at Your Desk

The world health organization estimates that 75% of all doctor visits are in some way related to stress! Stress is part of our everyday lives. How we react to stress is where the opportunity for greater health and happiness exists.

One of the best things we can do in our day is to take a balance break; a short pattern interrupt to disconnect from the busy and reset our ability to focus. It’s free, easy to do at your desk and very effective.

Think you don’t have time?

Research shows you’ll be more productive, more focused and more creative!

Taking a Balance Break:

  • Sit tall in your seat
  • Close your eyes (if you feel you can)
  • Take 10 long, slow, deep breathes through your nose and really focusing on your breath. As you inhale and exhale, silently & slowly think SLOW….DOWN, SLOW…DOWN
  • Repeat every 1-2 hours
